Training League

Overview

Each season, over 600 children from Pre-Kindergarten through 1st grade participate in the St. Alban Soccer Training League. The objectives of our Training League are to (1) HAVE FUN, (2) learn the fundamentals of the game and (3) learn about teamwork and camaraderie.

Training League clinic and games will be held at St. Alban Roe.

Pre-K Clinic

The Pre-K program offers a 1 hour clinic every Saturday morning during the season. There are no practice sessions during the week for this age. The season begins in early September. The clinic consists of drills that focus on fundamental skills and small-sided games (5v5, 6v6 or 7v7). The objectives of the program are to expose each child to the fundamentals of the game and to maximize his/her touches on the ball.

Groups are formed with 10 - 14 players per group. Two coaches are with each group at all times keeping the child/coach ratio as low as possible.

Additional information will be sent out to registrants in Mid-August.

Each child receives a St. Alban Soccer T-shirt and socks. Parents need to furnish shoes, shinguards and shorts.

Typically, the Pre-K program is for those children that will be at least 4 years old by the Fall.
